| The Dual Nature of
Matter was started in 2002 as a solo "space music"
project, drawing inspiration from classic Berlin-school electronica,
atmospheric space rock, synthesizer driven soundtracks and ambient
electronica. The original goal of this project was to explore the vast
expanse of ambient space music, sequencing and synthesizer programming
and to paint a musical landscape with the rich colors that synthesizers
can provide. The Dual Nature of Matter is now more true to the inherent
dichotomy of the name, exploring a soundscape that also draws from a
more organic palette. Insipired by the likes of Chroma Key, Air,
Radiohead, Sigur Rós and film noire, my hope is to to add
shades of gray to the rich colors that can be derived from
synthesizers. Expect to hear a lot of samplers and more natural
instruments in the future. |
| All my
meaningful music is available here. Currently, I am in the
process of trying to writing a number of tracks, whilst doing a lot of
sound design. Hopefully these tracks will constitute what will become a
debut CD. My ultimate dream is to write a concept sci-fi album, either
by myself or for an appropriate movie. |
